My journey through the stack has been a deep dive into the evolution of computing. I spent years working with the high-stakes reliability of mainframes and as a network consultant before finding my true calling in the “Blue Team” trenches. For over seven years now, I have focused exclusively on Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering, where I hold both the GIAC Reverse Engineering Malware (GREM) and GIAC Mobile Device Security Analyst (GMOB) certifications.
I view my role as the technical engine for our defensive strategy. I deconstruct complex threats to provide the raw technical data, detection suggestions, and Yara rules that our CTI team then transforms into actionable intelligence. By feeding this technical depth into the CTI pipeline, my analysis becomes truly operational—fueling incident enrichment and enabling the proactive blocking of IOCs across the infrastructure.
While my professional life is dedicated to defense, my perspective is informed by a “hacker mindset” developed through years of exploring offensive security as a hobby. I remain a lifelong student of how systems—both digital and physical—can be bypassed, which is why you’ll often find me practicing lock picking or writing blog posts for the Nordic financial sector on the latest malware trends.
I believe that to truly defend an environment, you have to understand exactly how an adversary intends to break it.
